SKYLIFT HISTORY

2000–2005
- Incorporated by Nicholas Jarmoszuk and George Wojnowski in October 2000.
- First machines were built in a 2,500-square-foot facility in Lorain, Ohio, with five employees.
- The MA 39 original arborist model was introduced in 2003.
- The Mini-Derrick 33 Track Drive, now the MD 4000, was released in 2005.
- Expanded original facility to 5,000 square feet.

2006–2010
- The MD 6000 mini derrick rear easement machine was introduced in 2008, becoming Skylift’s best seller.
- The Super Arborist 53, now the MA 53, was introduced in 2008.
- Moved into a new 10,000-square-foot facility.

2011–2015
- Manufactured and delivered Skylift’s 1,000th machine.
- Engineered a shorter, “Low Pro” MD 6000, now the industry standard.
- The Patriot 40/50 digger derrick machine was introduced in 2011.
- Increased in-house fabrication capabilities with commissioning of a Haas CNC machine.

2016–2018
- The CHAMP (Compact Hydraulic and Mobile Power) power supply unit was introduced in 2016.
- The Mini-Linesman material handler, now the ML 53, was introduced in 2016.

Super Arborist, now the MA61/64 were introduced.

The Pioneer material handler was introduced in 2018.

Michael Naughton hired as president to improve operations.

2019–PRESENT
- The MD 6000 E-Series, the first battery-powered backyard machine, was introduced in 2020.
- Implementation of Kaizen Six Sigma processes increase production output.
- Purchase of 20,000-square-foot building, expanding production capacity.
- Commissioned Trumpf Laser Table
- Awarded the 2021 Lorain County Business of the Year.
- Awarded Diesel Progress Hybrid Application of the Year.
